Fantasy Golf: The Rocket Classic Preview

It was already going to be a light week here at the FGR and that was before I put off writing until after I played a match at 11:30 a.m. yesterday at the peak of the heat. Despite maintaining a steady flow of fluids throughout including a few post-round glasses of chardonnay, I found myself somewhat uninspired last night. (Giving the match away by missing every fucking putt outside of five feet didn't help). To paraphrase Dean Wormer, fat, drunk and dehydrated is no way to write a golf blog son . . . so now we're forced to do it tired, cranky and hungover.

GOLF ANALYSIS

Detroit Golf Club has produced a solid roster of winners over the last five years including Bryson DeChambeau, Tony Finau, Rickie Fowler and Cam Davis twice and if that list doesn't scream "Ball Strikers!" then I don't know what to tell you. With that being the case, we're picking Max Greyserman this week because "Greyserman" is actually Ukrainian for "Ball Striker Man." Really. (Not really).

The rest of the picks track pretty closely with what would have been the players with solid records on the Historical Performance Chart if we had done one. If you're looking for that information, FanDuel provides it here. It's not as cool looking as ours would have been but they don't have our unlimited budget so they're doing the best they can under the financial constraints of the gambling business.
