A little late on the preview this week because I failed to get it out before the quarterly company sponsored boondoggle yesterday. It was the typical shit show but didn't quite measure-up to the one we just had in March which ended after a bar fight with about fifteen people in an eerily silent van taking a ride home that either no one can remember or no one wants to. Just bringing it up around the office will get you hushed like you walked into a British countryside pub and started asking questions about werewolves.
So here I sit in a dingy hotel room licking my wounds and typing with fingers that reek of the twenty Marlboro Lights I pretended to smoke yesterday. At least I appear to be unscathed so we're going to chalk this one up as a win.
After shitting on the concept of the one and done pick in last week's preview, I up and picked the damn winner. I know it was just was Scottie Scheffler in the midst of a hot streak but it still counts for $4M that got me back in the vicinity of the conversation. If Bryson can pull-off the U.S. Open, things are going to get very interesting down the stretch. (Clearly my bar for "very interesting" is quite low).
The RBC Canadian Open heads to a new course this week so we don't have a lot to go on besides current form. It is a TPC course, however, so we've factored that expected quirkiness into the equation to produce the following recommendations.
