The FGR's Preview of an NFL Preview

Hello Sea Gal (yes, that is what
they're called) . . . I've missed you.
Why didn't someone freakin' tell me the season starts tomorrow dammit?!? Consider this an appetizer along the lines of a $17 shrimp cocktail with three measly shrimp. (Did I mention that I'm in San Diego being resort raped at every turn? . . . Thanks, I feel your sympathy). The good news is that I've got a five hour plane ride on Friday with the opportunity to crank-out some kind of NFL preview but, in the meantime, here's the Thursday night pick.

Seattle by 5.5 over Green Bay: The Pick - Seahawks

As much as I love Aaron Rodgers and the Packers' prospects this year, I'm afraid they're running into an opening day ambush in Seattle where they're going to face a team and a crowd with their collective hair on fire looking to prove that they are a dynasty in the making. Best case I see for the Pack is hanging for three quarters but getting clipped by at least a touchdown. The more likely scenario, however, is something along the lines of 31-17.
